Buying your old gold, silver, and jewelry
If you have old gold, silver, beaded purses, jewelry, watches, and dental gold (yes, dental gold) you can turn it into cash. A company called Anderson, Carter, Tira, and Associates Estate Buyers is in town this week and on a buying spree. The company will pay cash for old or foreign coins, costume jewelry, and sterling silver. Appraisers are set up at the Hilton at 6780 Southwest Freeway. Before you take your goods, check out what similar things sell for on ebay, or take them to a collector for an evaluation. The appraisers do not buy everything, but tell us the hot selling items are gold and silver. The company is buying items from 9 a.m to 7 p.m. from January 9th to January 13th.
Good luck!

KNOW THE WEIGHT, IN OUNCES, OF ANY ITEM YOU TAKE TO THESE PEOPLE!!! I went to the Hilton and met with a buyer for this company to discuss a large collection of sterling flatware. The buyer pointed out that the price he would offer would be based entirely on the weight of the items, and THE SCALE THE BUYER USED WAS SIGNIFICANTLY INACCURATE IN HIS COMPANY'S FAVOR. I had weighed my items on my home postal scale (which is routinely calibrated and verified using other reliable instruments) prior to taking them in for evaluation, and I have since verified those weights with two other scales including one at a well-known Houston jewelry store. When I finally presented an item stamped with the weight, the buyer refused to weigh it on his scale, told me he didn't want to do business with me, and walked out of the room. I hate to think of how many good people in our city were victimized by this company, and I wish I could do more than simply post this on a blog.

This particular company makes money by making offers significantly lower than fair market value and by weighing items on inaccurate scales.

I attempted to get a reasonable price for some old silver coins here in Knoxville, TN today...the "appraiser" didn't even use a magnifying glass...just a VERY cursory review of the coins, then proceeded to insult my intelligence by stating that the price of silver was higher 28 years ago than it is now...he then quoted me less than one-third the actual value of just ONE of the coins (6 identical coins in poorer condition sold for over $600.00 apiece at auction in California last month)...his statements to me disclosed an abject ignorance of coin evaluations...the 'corrosion" he said devalued the coins was simply patina-and everyone knows you DON'T clean coins)....it is obvious that this company preys on the ignorant souls who appear with family treasures, hoping to get what they consider a fair price...shame on this company for being so dishonest...

Based upon my recent experience with this company, I believe that I could have walked through the door with the Holy Grail, and they would have treated it like an ordinary paper cup! It is patently obvious that they are out to take advantage of the public...seller beware!!

I have some jewelry , china and sterling flatware to sell. My ex-husband got a girlfriend and there was no need to hold on to it anymore. I divorsed him...I'm just sentimental. So...now it's time for Cindy. Before I make some huge mistakes...does anyone out there know where to sell these items? I am going to have some, let's just say, some enhancements to make me feel better about myself.....it's just time that it is OK to sell my ring. It's 2 1/2 carats...beautiful...appraised for 10,0000 dollars 15 years ago. Who can I trust..where should I go....your answers are extremely valuable to me....I do not want to be taken in by somebody thinking I'm stupid. I am trusting you, my readers, to help me fulfill my dream..I guess you'd say. Anybody out there who has some advice...give me a write.....I will not be taken in by anybody..and it's you, as readers, who may help me avoid this. I am too trusting by nature........unfortunately.
Thank you so much.

Our company, Designs 'N Gold, a Hawaii based Hawaiian jewelry manufacturer has devised a method of turning old, broken and unused jewelry into a new piece of jewelry. For as little as $45.00 we are able take old, unused and broken jewelry and turn it into a new Hawaiian heirloom bracelet, ring or pendant or some other type of jewelry. Clients can choose from 2000+ design molds or custom design an entirely new piece of jewelry for themselves or to give as a gift to a loved one. Through this process our company helps keep the earth green by recycling old, broken and unused jewelry, normally known in the trade as "scrap" into new jewelry. For every ounce of "scrap gold or silver" we recycle into new jewelry, we reduce the need of the mining companies to mine a ton of earth. By recycling we are able to turn one's old jewelry into a new piece of jewelry thus conserving on the consumption of resources and energy. Clients are also able to keep cherished momentos in a new form of jewelry rather than selling it to scrap gold and silver dealers that pay them pennies on the dollar for their old, broken and unused jewelry. Our jewelers/engravers enjoy taking "scrap" and turning it into a beautiful piece of jewelry which gives them them a great since of pride. Clients are given the choice of beginning the process of turning their old, broken and unused jewelry into a new piece of jewelry by visiting Designs 'N Gold in their Aiea, Hawaii location or be visiting the Designs 'N Gold website at http://www.designsngold.com
Colette Aoki who was born and raised in Hawaii, is the owner of Designs 'N Gold. She is an accomplised jewelry designer and business person. Through this process Colette is able to help people turn their old class rings, wedding rings, estate jewelry, dental jewelry, gold coins, broken and mismatched earrings, outdated jewelry into new modern jewelry designs. Colette's clients are very happy with the results. Susan of San Diego, CA writes "Thanks very much for the follow-up. I received the bracelet on Friday of last week- it is so beautiful! I am really happy with it". Deanna of Little Rock, AR writes "The bracelet arrived today and I love it! Thank you for your hard work" and April of Maui, Hawaii writes "I received the ring, yesterday and I was already so anxious to open the box. Opened it and oh my. Why, it's surely the most "Ultimate Beautiful Ring" I have ever seen. Most of all it's well made. Thank your designer from the bottom of my heart. I have been sharing with people about your business. I am spreading the word of the great job you all have done.

Hi,
I think this is such a nice thing because gold is the only thing which can give you the full value on it's reselling. So i think this is one of the best way to invest your money safely. Anyways keep it up and keep continue with your valuable thoughts in the near upcoming future.
Thanks.

* The academic dress regulations and colors for graduation ceremonies require that the distinctive official costume of each person be worn. An old gold cap, gown, hood, or tassel can represent a particular degree or diploma.
* In the U.S., old gold is widely used as one of the two color symbols for colleges and universities (notably Johns Hopkins University, Texas State University, Purdue University, East Tennessee State University, Georgia Tech, the University of Missouri, Vanderbilt University, the University of Tulsa, Wake Forest University, East Carolina University, Oakland University, Wofford College, West Virginia University, and University of Wisconsin–Superior).
* Old gold is also used as one of the official colors of college fraternal organizations such as Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Gamma Rho, Alpha Zeta, Acacia, Alpha Tau Omega, Delta Sigma Pi, Delta Upsilon, Kappa Alpha Order, Omega Psi Phi, Omega Tau Zeta, Phi Kappa Sigma,Phi Kappa Tau, Pi Kappa Alpha, Phi Rho Eta, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and Sigma Chi.

I recently tried www.mygolddepot.com after trying after going to a gold party and I have to say I had a great experience with this company. My Gold Depot.com was just a pleasure to use. I did some research online after going to a gold party and after reading about selling old Gold Jewelry online. I thought was a great idea but I wanted to really research the topic. Well after seeing some good customer service comments on www.mygolddepot.com I decided to give them a shot. I have to say I was very happy with the payout I received, (could they have paid me $25-30 bucks more) probably yes ! But, I received a check about 6 days after I sent in my unwanted items and I really think the $494.00 that I was paid was a really good payout compared to some of the stories I read about from customers getting $20.00 and $30.00 dollar checks from the other online companies like Cash4gold.com I have to say www.Mygolddepot.com is the real deal and I would absolutely recommended any trying them.
