Do you know what the EITC is? Do you qualify for it?

Tax time is here and the IRS is trying to get the word out about the Earned Income Tax Credit.

The deduction is designed for low income working families and can be worth up to $5000 or more. 

Because so many people lost jobs in 2009, more tax payers may be eligible for the tax credit.

The IRS is even offering free tax help for those who qualify for the EITC and in Houston there will be 2 places to get the free help.
